"I want to thank the Prairie School Foundation for the temple block set for the Prairie Ridge music room. For the past two years the elementary music staff has been using the Orff approach to teaching elementary music. This approach requires a variety of pitched and un-pitched percussion instruments which can be expensive. The temple blocks will be used in a variety of activities in every grade level and will last for a generation of students."

Why did you want to be involved with the Foundation?
|
My family moved to the College Community School District just 6 months ago because of the district’s great reputation. It’s obvious that the Foundation plays a large role in the success of the district through its support of students and teachers and I’m excited to be a part of the Foundation’s efforts.
